TGIF

This week has been so busy for me. I always feel like a chicken running around with their head cut off after coming back from a weekend trip (I really need those weekends to decompress). We’re wrapping up a lot of projects at work and I’m trying to get everything ready for the Pint of Science events next week – wooh! I’m so excited to be a part of it but I’m also super excited that it will soon be done! If you’re in a metro area you should definitely check out if there is an event in your city, I promise it will be fun.

Here are a few photos from this past weekend home.

Finally meeting my friend’s baby

Anyway, what are you up to this weekend?

Tonight I’m going to a baby shower potluck BBQ after work. I’m bringing these  amazing veggie skewers to grill. Then later tonight (say midnight – we go out so late in NYC) I’m  hitting up the Lower East Side for some dancing with a friend. As for the rest of the weekend I’m purposely not planning too much. I just need a break. I will be hitting up my cycling class and getting in some running – you don’t have a choice to skip workouts anymore when you’re in marathon training mode. Why did I sign up for a marathon again? Kidding, I’m really excited to run one and it’s on my bucket list. And then my other big ticket item is watching the season finale for Grey’s Anatomy from last night – please no spoilers.

Here are some of my favorite links I found on the web this week (sorry there are so few, I’ve really been that busy):

How did you know you were ready to have a baby? I always love posts from A Cup of Jo but this one was especially great in my book. 12 women share about how they “knew” they were ready to have a baby. (And I know I have a lot of mentioning of babies in this post but none for me anytime soon – thanks!)

Can you guess these TV towns?  This quiz was so much fun and I did surprisingly well  on it (does that mean I watch too much tv?)

15 Words you should eliminate from your vocabulary to sound smarter  I’m totally guilty in using the word just all the time. I’m just checking in… I’m just… But I’ve been working hard to eliminate it. I proofread all my emails and usually have to delete 3 out of everyone -_-

How big is the brain’s penis area? You know you’re curious. 🙂
